At Pawsitively Happy Pet Service, your dog(s) can relax, rest, and play in the comfort of our home alongside a small, friendly group of other dogs. Whether you’re out for the evening, away for the weekend, or enjoying a longer holiday, your dog will be welcomed into our family and treated as one of our own.
We’re based in a lovely terraced home in Stowmarket, close to scenic recreation grounds that are perfect for morning and evening walks. During the day, our guests can enjoy countryside adventures and secure off-lead play in our private 3-acre field — the perfect place to stretch their legs, explore, and make new friends.
Your dog’s happiness, comfort, and safety always come first — so you can relax knowing they’re being cared for with love and attention.
A little bit about me……
I’m Kim. Most of my life has been dedicated to animals — from our beloved family dogs to my horses, animals have always been a huge part of who I am. I have a chocolate Lab called Sonny and two ponies, Sally and Pepper.
Most of my working life has been with horses, and for over 20 years I’ve also been house-sitting and looking after all sorts of animals — dogs, horses, cats, sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens. I’ve made so many furry (and feathered!) friends along the way.
About 12 years ago, I decided to give up working with horses full-time and began walking dogs instead. I loved it — seeing how happy they were to see me filled my heart with joy, and their owners loved the little adventures we went on together.
I later qualified as a Level 3 dog groomer and Emmipet tooth technician, because I wanted to be able to care for every aspect of a dog’s life.
I’ve been in my little home for seven years now and, although I still love house-sitting and visiting my furry friends, I began to really miss my own home and my bed!
So I decided to open my doors to home boarding. I wanted to cuddle up on my sofa with my furry friends and make them feel like part of my family. I truly look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets — and sharing all the fun and adventures we’ll have during their stay.
My promise
I will care for your beloved dog/s as if they are my own and your dog/s dietary needs to exercise preferences, we will take the time to get to know your dog/s and tailor their experience to ensure they feel right at home. This includes meet and greets as well as overnight trials. Every dog has a trial before their official stay, so your dog can get to know us and our home to make sure they will be happy and settled for their stay. This also helps to assess your dogs individual character and any particular needs they may have.
We really do care about all your dogs’ welfare, and it is our mission for them to live their best life while they are here. This includes a minimum of 2 walks a day, and off the lead fun with their new friends, they will have plenty of cuddles, and playing in the garden. Your dogs can even sleep in their own room if they would like to.
I love all dogs but given the size of my home we have an upper size limit of 25 kg, and we don’t look after aggressive breeds because the dogs are in my own home and will mix with other dogs and we respect our neighbours so no overly barky dogs please
